What's new here? We've been doing this in Europe for 5 years and there's a lot of companies offering this.

@Kare @Joe H - Thanks for your comments, greatly appreciated! I am completely aware that we didn't invent text messaging or group text messaging for that matter. Our strengths come from the user interface that we have created, which is by far is the simplest way for any group to send out a group text message. This allows Tatango to be used by all types of groups, young & old, tech savy & non-tech savy, which I think our competitors have not done a very good job of. When facebook came out, obviously they weren't the first social network, but what they did at the beginning was to make their user interface simple and easy to use, which nowadays I think has a great deal of appeal to users. We are trying to doing that for group text messaging with Tatango. We appreciate all of the comments, they are a great help in shaping the future of Tatango.

@Derek - good clarification. It would help your positioning and pitch A LOT if you presented it that way.

Good pitch, my only suggestion would be to prove how you're doing financially - "We've served 17 million messages, making about $X in profit"... Its a good idea, monetization strategy is good but the whole elevator pitch idea has to make me want to invest, right?

@Amanda - Thanks for the compliments, we have really tried to provide the best customer service as possible and it's always good to hear we are doing a good job. @BJK - Completely understood! We didn't feel like on such a public place we should be releasing our profit numbers, especially being a new company in the industry. @ Jacksonbarr - Yea, love that book!
