Great idea - building websites together without having a programming breakground. I will definitely check this out!
PJ 6/30/08 2:58PM #
I thoght this was really well done and nutshelled. Also, Alex came across good on camera...natural and relaxed.
Bonnie 6/30/08 3:55PM #
My son is a web designer. I have always wanted to do what he does. Seems like something I could handle.
NL 6/30/08 6:37PM #
I really like the concept, but consider improving your image.. the logo could use a lot of work for one thing, and the site feels a little too playful and not very professional. I know it isn't supposed to be too 'professional' considering your audience, but making it look like someone older than 5 did it would help in terms of legitimacy. also... loudclick?
JM 7/1/08 7:48AM #
Great script. Great framing. Too much ambient noise. Is Alex looking at a small person? Perhaps raise the prompter a tad. It's very relaxed...perhaps too much so. Let me hear in your voice and see in your face how "powerful" and "new" this concept is. Show me the excitement.
SK 7/1/08 9:22AM #
Pertaining to the Elevator Pitch, I like that it is easy to understand what LoundClick is and what it does however, I agree with JM that there is too much ambient noise and not enough excitement and conviction in the voice.
Steve 7/1/08 11:26AM #
Loudclick is fabulous and powerful and thank God Alex is leading it since it's highly unlikely he's gonna get that spokesmodel job. ;-) Good recap and synopsis. Yeah, too much ambient noise but I liked the background of the lake and that he just said it.

Redo the video and look at us. I have to agree with SK & JM. GREAT TOOL!
Jason 7/1/08 11:29AM #
Sounds like a great idea. Quick overview. I know that the team has a great deal of experience and knowledge on the topic - good to see the new launch.
Ben Yi 7/1/08 11:49AM #
Alex don't listen to all of the people that give negative critique. They offer no solutions. It is easy to tear someone down if you are as unoriginal as them.
Alice 7/1/08 11:56AM #
Awesome concept - way to make websites easy to create and manage "for the rest of us"...
Rich 7/1/08 11:59AM #
I thought Alex looked great on this video; professional and perfect looking for this field. If the product is as impressive as Alex, I'm buying.
Ricardo 7/1/08 12:3PM #
Brilliant Concept- In business I have been held captive by two impossible web factors; tech ignorant clients and tech snobby vendors. Alex's hair cut looks a little crazy, but clearly talented...Great solution!!
Pat 7/1/08 1:3PM #
I would say a big "ditto" to JM - good start just a little more excitement!
JDK 7/1/08 1:10PM #
I sugguest you look at the camera more and elevate the eyes. Good descriotion but could use a little "fire". Seem excited!! But, good start
CS 7/1/08 6:49PM #
All the comments are good. Look at the camera not at the midget down there. And some kind of "picture" or graphic would be nice - 60 seconds of text isn't much. Why is this better than whatever?
K 7/1/08 9:4PM #
I have built several websites using Loudclick and I have found it to be a great product. I think the pitch accurately sums up Loudclick. I believe the point of these "elevator pitches" is to explain the business and vote on that. The comments about the "video" seem a little off subject.
Nelson 7/2/08 12:10AM #
Great Idea, and I think script was good too, I think there are many personal website builders, but building a website with friends or colleagues is Definitely on. Video well come on guys, what did you expect it to be in 38 sec?
LG-Major Pain 7/2/08 6:53AM #
Went to the site and it is really good. Your team did a great job. Loved the history page. LoudClick is really a great tool!!!
MM 7/2/08 9:7AM #
Interesting, well-executed product. I, for one, also liked the video. The background is reminiscent of a business opportunity infomercial, but the company president comes across as someone who genuinely believes that the merits of his product, rather than self-manufactured hype, will generate excitement. A good summary. Well done.

Great video - Super concept. Not sure what all the previous commentary about "midgets" etc is about. I re-watched this and thought it was very straightforward. Also - weird but it sounded loud, echos, like in a studio with occasional birds! And a bit run-on in one of the sentences. Don't know the cast but "Alex" appeared professional and relaxed - very "early Bill Gates" style! I'll definitely forward this to others.
Gaƫlle 7/2/08 12:20PM #
It's really a nice concept, we need that in France ;-)
LL 7/2/08 2:43PM #
Easy to use; easy to update; high quality at bargain basement prices. It is a great product with great support.
Jud 7/2/08 7:41PM #
Great idea for the rest of us non- computer geeks. I'm definitely going to give it a try.
the old guy 7/5/08 2:28PM #
Amazing! Went to the LoudClick website and registered to be a user, watched a couple of well done informative LoudClick University tutorials, and in less than a half hour I actually had an operational website of my own. Now I need to get my family and friends involved!
TMD 7/8/08 12:14PM #
Alex is relaxed and approachable in this clip - exactly what you want your website to be for the novice user. The persona should match the target audience and I don't think you're looking to attract the experienced web builder. The front page image is refreshing - the background "noise" in the clip is the right idea - you can fine tune that if you ever rework it but I'd stay with the relaxed approach in image, background noise and setting. I'm convinced you're on the right path with this overall approach - never lose site of your audience!! Bravo!
Nick 7/8/08 12:18PM #
Excellent concept.........nice work Alex! LoudClick is an exciting new idea that is catching on quickly!!!
CK 7/10/08 2:40PM #
Good pitch, technically. However, if I were an investor for Internet company, I would like you to have these questions answered: 1. Competing products from Microsoft Live space, which allows you to do pretty much the same thing. 2. Google Apps, free service with Google cloud computing power behind. 3. Wordpress, even though, it looks to be something unrelated, it is actually a competing product. I can get wordpress as my main CMS platform without paying and more, it does have a lot of plug-ins and etc. :)
turningman49 7/11/08 2:11PM #
Very easy to understand and easy to use
SNA 7/14/08 11:28PM #
Sounds like a cool idea to me, personal website builders are common, but creating and managing the websites with your friends and colleagues is definitely on.
jodikrealtor 7/15/08 6:39AM #
Great resource for every industry. I've been referring this to alot of people.
Damian 7/15/08 6:44AM #
Great presentation and service.
Ricardo 7/17/08 8:36AM #
Alex's product and pitch hit the perfect balance for an elevator pitch; Simply said and a web site management tool is much needed product for small and mid cap companies. Great job!
Impressed 7/29/08 8:53PM #
The new look loudclick that just came out today is a nice upgrade - easier to navigate and neat templates to pick from for one's website.
Nick 8/11/08 11:27AM #
Amazing web site! The concept is great! I'm really impressed.
Charles 8/18/08 5:31AM #
What makes this any different than day blogger, or wordpress? IMO this is much ado about nothing. Reinventing the wheel doesn't necessarily make you a genius. I've tried using this product, and it is clumsy and has very few customization options as far as the look of your website goes.
Sara 8/18/08 3:17PM #
I have built several websites using LoudClick and I love it!
Matt 8/19/08 11:43AM #
Sara, Can you share the urls? I would love to look at what you have done.
Linda 8/22/08 7:4PM #
Never make a video outside...difficult to hear him & hard to get interested...show some passion and explain a little bit about what kinds of websites you can build - there's plenty of ways to make cheap one page sites...is this different? if so, give us some clues...
Linda 8/22/08 7:11PM #
just checked out the site...not very easy on the eyes...it's downright ugly actually - green font? come on guys...you are selling a service/site to make web sites and you don't have a prof'l looking site? baffling in my opinion
