I'm not going to trust some random person with my packages. Why not just use fedex or et al?

Akram - Thanks! Michael - for three reasons: 1. Darrbers would deliver your packages faster 2. Darrbers would delivery your packages cheaper 3. Darrbers can in many cases provide better customers service (quality) than delivery companies. don't pick a random person, check his rating score to see how many people used him and what they thought about his service. its the same idea of buying something from a random person on ebay.. you depend on the rating system:)

nice concept, though instead of charging a subscription you could take a small % of each transaction. This way it will allow anyone to use the service without having to commit to subscribing. I don't know whether it is viable but you could possibly encorporate a free car sharing service to link people up in a similar way. www.youtube.com/cheekychen
