I like the concept. I'd wonder what the expected revenue model is or demonstrated revenue model is. Nothing better then being the broker in the middle of a creative field as you have unlimited inventory and no development costs. Thumbs up if they can pull it off. I sent to my mother as she has been an aspiring writer for years. Durrr

weak... seriously? we are going to democratize a creative process and water it down by letting ma and pa from bumfunk nowhere weigh in? I mena i guess if this is targeted to the middle america housewife who is trying to write the next daniel steel novel then have at it, but beyond that ehh I would rather leave the writing up to the writers. Also doesn't lulu.com already have a lock on the online independent publishing market? Their site is AWESOME.

down vote - sorry, why not just work with trusted talented people on my own and then use Lulu to print? This way our work stays safe and we publish what & when we want. we'll have more control over the end product too.

Great Site, Clean Clean Code, all standard complaint, Good UI, Optimized, Good Content, Community (users) In Place, Apps and Widgets are there, All of the Prime Real Estate Space for Advertising is there, It offers a Product and a Free Service, its niched off of something people will do as long as we continue to exist, which is write stories....it is just as good (if not better) as any great blog out there and seriously people Perez Hilton makes money off his blog, this site is good bet. and for the jackarse that is worried about being judged by Ma and Pa!!! ha!! They are alot better than being judged by the 23 asst publisher who has partied her butt off every night of the week in NYC and passes over someones book because she was really too hungover to read any of it.......

How does your site differ from Lulu publishing ? I am presently with Lulu and have sold some of my work. If I self publish a memoir on Lulu can I still submit it to your site ? If so at what cost ?

I have yet to see some real information. I won't be jumping on this bandwagon. Who keeps the copyrights? What about royalties? How much? What about the publishing rights? Too many unanswered questions for my taste. Too many cooks spoil the broth... My story is just that- my story. Call me skeptical but I just don't like the feel and/or look of this at all. Folks I need to know, upfront, what I'm working with- kwim?

There is really nothing like it. Not Storymash and not Lulu. I looked at all options and decided to go with webook for my future books. No one helps you learn, get feedback and publish like webook and the community at webook does. If you like writing and/or reading books - give it a shot. I am sure you'll love it!

You're forgetting - copyright in the States is not the same as copyright in the UK. Open to correction, but if someone gets hold of your work and publishes it in the States, they can market it in EU while you're sitting here in the UK with no protection.

My only concern is whether my work will be safe on a site. I know that I have rights, but the fact that someone could still steal my work is a concern I have. I believe there should be more saftey measures taken. (Suck as no one being able to copy and paste something so easily, like authors do on their personal websites). This approach might be more beneficial.
